EssentOptics has completed the installation and commissioning of the unique AKRA 0450 single wavelength optical monitoring system (OMS) in Russia.

EssentOptics announces that is has completed the installation and commissioning of the unique AKRA 0450 single wavelength optical monitoring system (OMS) in Russia. The latest system was ordered by Macrooptica, one of the leading Russian manufacturers and suppliers of optical components and equipment.

The AKRA 0450 is a completely new optical monitoring system allowing to control the deposition of optical coatings within the broadest spectral range of 380-5000 nm using a transmission signal. The system is based on the M250 monochromator, also developed at EssentOptics. The electronic and software package provides for automatic change of four diffraction gratings, corrective filters and photodetectors as well as selection of the monitoring wavelength. Like other AKRA series OMS systems, the new AKRA 0450 offers the possibility to scan the entire spectrum after deposition of any layer and to compare the calculated spectrum with the actual one. This option is widely used by the customers to make real-time process correction and analysis to obtain the specified coatings without breaking the vacuum.

The application of the AKRA 0450 OMS system already enables Macrooptica to fulfill new orders in a very broad spectral range meeting almost any customer requirement. The installation of the OMS system will not only extend the service life of vacuum equipment, but also bring an important leap expanding company's process capabilities.
